The new additions to Ponant's fleet
The great thing about travel and cruising is that there is always something new and somewhere new to go! Cruising is becoming ever more popular as people realise the benefit of being able to wake up each morning in a new destination, and all the new on board facilities now on offer.
Cruise companies are catering for the increased demand with the release of newer and better ships, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, increased luxury and innovative designs.
Ponant this year launched the new Le Laperouse, featuring the underwater lounge, the ‘Blue Eye’, complete with viewing portholes so guests can enjoy the spectacle beneath the sea all in complete comfort.
In 2019, Le Bougainville and Le Dumont-d’Urville will join the fleet, followed by Le Surville and Le Bellot in 2020. Each of the new ships retains Ponant’s philosophy of limited guest capacity, ensuring exceptional service, cutting-edge technology and respect for the environment.
With the increased fleet comes the opportunity to expand into a wider range of destinations, meaning new cruise itineraries are now on offer including Greenland, Great Lakes of North America, Central America and Bijagos Archipelago.
