The Enigmatic Kimberley In Pictures
Words simply can’t adequately describe the magnitude, isolation or raw beauty of The Kimberley. Great expanses of sunburnt land, fewer people per square kilometre than nearly anywhere else in the world, rich culture dating back some 40,000 years … you really have to see it, breathe it and experience it in order to truly appreciate it.
Here’s just some of what you might see on a cruise to The Kimberley:
When cruising The Kimberley, we recommend sailing with one of the smaller ships such as Ponant’s Le Laperouse. The smaller ships can get closer to shore and nose into areas larger ships can’t. They also have the ability to be a bit more flexible so if there is something special happening (eg whale sightings), they can stop and manoeuvre so much more easily . Small ships also have an expert expedition team on board with specialists in nature, wildlife, rock art, culture etc so you really get a rich and fulfilling cruising experience.
